Lookbook of Longings: June 2024
I moved, it's getting hot, and I still want stuff.
Happy Pride Month, y’all. It’s a new month (yes, a little late….sorry) so you know what time it is…let’s shop.
When it comes to things I am shopping for right now, a lot of it is boring home related items because we just moved into our first house. Fly traps and flood lights are in my Amazon cart, but alas.
I will say, summer always sparks something in me to shop. I hate summer fashion due to the fact that Missouri summers are hot as hell and even more humid. But, here I am, trying my freakin best.
Let’s get into the goods. Reminder: I do not have the means to purchase many of these items. That is why they are longings, not a grocery list. :)
Horse Girl Boot - Wolf & Badger
Is the price on these insane? Yes. But I need them biblically. I have a pair of black cowboy boots that I loooove wearing with shorts and dresses and I can only imagine the powerful aura I would gain with these.
18K Yellow Gold Earrings 'Venezia' Slim Hoops
Something I am manifesting for the next year is to invest in higher quality jewelry. I am tired of jewelry tarnishing after 6 months even with proper wear! So these would be a great upgrade and can go in my second ear piercing spot.
The Somerset Pull-On Pants: Linen Edition
Y’all KNOW how much I love these pants from Anthropologie. I rent them in my Nuuly every single month. Now they have a linen version which would be perfect for this heat that isn’t going anywhere until late September at best.
Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn Dover Platform Sandals
I have a pair of black Doc Marten sandals that are fantastic, but I frequently find myself wishing I had a platform sandal in brown! I love a slip on style and the gold accent is very me.
I travel wayyy too often to not have a solid duffel in my bag collection. I love this print (gingham girl forever) and honestly could use it for long days at work too.
Aerie Extreme V-Neck Oversized Boyfriend T-Shirt
I have graphic tees galore but definitely lack some basics. I love Aerie for things like this because the quality is still decently high but the price tag isn’t insane for a white tee.
Abercrombie has had the comeback of the century — just have to point this out before even beginning to comment on this dress. I love a loose lil mini for the summer time and this colorway/pattern is gorgina! I also think this could transition to winter with a turtle neck and some tights. Can you tell I miss the cold?
Baby Cygnet Gold Ring - Cat Bird
This would be my first Cat Bird piece and I think it has to be. I love monogramming and personalizing, so the initial is a perfect touch. Plus, 14k gold so hellooo high quality jewelry journey. I imagine wearing this as a pinky ring…the potential is high.
Maeve by Anthropologie Organic Sateen Printed Sheet Set
Had to throw at least one home item in here considering I just moved. These sheets are very classic and not too trendy that I won’t want them in six months. I need a better sheet set for our guest room and I think this is the perfect foundation for a beautifully-made guest bed.
